It can be very important to back up your website. This means that if there is a problem such as hardware failing, you can be sure all your files will be safe. It’s one of those things that you put off because nothing as happened yet, but when something does happen, you want to be sure that all your files are safe. If you are being hosted with Heart Internet, it is quick and simple to backup up your website and database.

Backing up your Websites

- Log in to your eXtend control panel
- In “files” click “backup/restore”
- Follow the onscreen instructions

Backing up your Databases

As with our web files back up service through eXtend, you can also back up your MySQL databases in eXtend with just one click!
- Log in to your eXtend control panel
- In ‘Web tools’ click on ‘MySQL Databases’
- In ‘Manage MySQL Databases’ choose which databases you want to back up and click ‘Now’

Backing up your Websites and Databases only takes a couple of clicks and once you’ve finished, you will know that all your files are secure.
